   

Carolina Country magazine is produced in Adobe InDesign on a Macintosh platform.
In the interest of quality, efficiency, time and cost savings, please
submit your ad using one of the listed "placeable" formats.
Below are guidelines and reminders, or you can download
a fact sheet in PDF detailing requirements for creating graphics for Carolina
Country magazine.
Acceptable File Formats
PDF (Portable Document Format)
Follow this quick checklist before creating your
PDF:
- All color graphics in CMYK mode
- Distiller setting set to “Press Optimized”
Note: "Screen Optimized"
will only print at low-resolution, or 72 dpi (dots per inch) resolution.

EPS (Encapsulated Postscript)
Follow this quick checklist before saving your final
EPS:
- All placed color graphics in CMYK mode
- All graphics embedded in file
- No font dependencies (i.e., create outlines in Illustrator)
Note: Fonts not turned to curves or
outlines and otherwise not included with your file may not print properly.

TIFF
Follow this quick checklist before saving your
final TIFF:
- File is in grayscale, CMYK, or bitmap mode
- IMAGE SIZE of your TIFF has at least 300 pixels/inch
at 100%.
If you are not sure whether your placeable file
has been prepared correctly, please include the original file, fonts and
all graphic links.

Other File Format Options
If you are not able to create a "placeable"
file (PDF, EPS or TIFF):
- Preferred software
is InDesign, QuarkXpress, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
- Include all fonts and graphic links with your file
(even if embedded).
- ALWAYS label your disk and indicate both program and
platform (i.e. InDesign/Windows).
- Please include a printout of your ad with the disk.
