Piemento Cheese Spread
8 oz. block extra sharp cheddar cheese at room temperature
3 oz. block cream cheese at room temperature
4 oz. jar piementos, chopped or sliced
2 T. mayonnaise
Dash of cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. black pepper
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. vinegar (optional)
Combine all ingredients with a mixer or in a food processor. Taste for seasoning.
Yield: About 2 cups of spread or 12 servings.
