Fried sweet potato pies

5-Flavor Pound Cake

2 sticks butter
3 cups sugar
6 brown eggs
1/2 cup Crisco butter shortening
3 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla flavor
1 teaspoon butter flavor
1 teaspoon rum flavor
1 teaspoon lemon flavor
1 teaspoon almond flavor
1 cup milk
1/2 cup orange juice

ICING
1 8-oz. cream cheese
1 box powdered sugar
1 stick margarine
1 teaspoon vanilla flavor

Mix 2 sticks butter and sugar until creamy, and add other ingredients one at a time. Use non-stick spray on cake pan, line with wax paper that is cut to fit, and spray once more after you put it in the pan.

Bake at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 hour.

Beat icing ingredients until smooth and creamy. Frost cake when cool.

Yield: 12 servings
