Butternut Pound Cake 2
2 cups sugar
1 cup Crisco shortening
2 1/2 cups cake flour
1/2 cup self-rising flour
1 cup milk
5 eggs
1 tablespoon butternut flavoring
ICING INGREDIENTS:
1/2 cup Crisco shortening
2 cups powdered sugar
1 teaspoon butternut flavoring
4 tablespoons milk
Cream together sugar and shortening until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time and beat slowly. Add 1 cup flour, then add milk and flour alternately until creamy. Add flavoring. Bake in tube pan at 325 degrees for 1 hour.
For icing, mix Crisco, sugar, flavoring and milk until creamy. Spread on cooled cake.
