Cornflake-Pecan Cookies
From the kitchen of Florence C. Ellis,
Fort Myers, FL
4 sticks margarine, softened
2 cups white sugar
3 cups flour (unsifted)
2 tsp baking soda
2 tsp cream of tartar
2 tsp vanilla
4 cups cornflakes, crushed
2 cups chopped pecans
Cream margarine and add sugar. Sift dry ingredients
and add to creamed mixture. Fold in cornflakes and nuts. Refrigerate
until firm and form into balls. Flatten with glass dipped in sugar.
Bake at 350 degrees for 12 minutes or until slightly browned.
