Lemon Bars

2 cups sifted flour
1/2 c. powdered sugar
1 c. (2 sticks) butter or margarine
4 eggs, beaten
2 c. sugar
1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/3 c. lemon juice
ISift together flour and powdered sugar;
cut in butter until it clings together. Press into a 9“ x
13“ greased pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes.
Meanwhile, beat eggs, then add sugar and
lemon juice. Stir in 1/4 c. flour and baking powder. Stir well
before pouring onto baked crust. Bake 25 minutes at 325 degrees.
Test to see if set. Return to oven with heat off for 5-10 minutes.
Cool, cut into squares, and dust with powdered sugar.
