Jim's Fresh Strawberry Pie
From the kitchen of James Parris, Maury
1 9-inch pie crust
2 cups fresh, very ripe strawberries, mashed
3 tsp cornstarch
1 cup granulated sugar
2 cups whole fresh strawberries
whipped cream topping
Pre-heat oven at 350 degrees to bake pie crust.
Use either homemade crust or pre-made. In a large sauce pan mix sugar
and cornstarch, add mashed strawberries and cook slowly for 10 minutes
until thickened. Pour into the pre-baked crust and chill until fully
set. Top with whipped cream topping and garnish top with whole strawberries. |
