North Carolina Christmas Trees

North Carolina has 2,500 growers producing an estimated 50 million Fraser fir Christmas trees growing on over 25,000 acres. Fraser fir trees represent over 90 percent of all species grown in the state. The North Carolina Christmas tree industry is ranked second in the nation in number of trees harvested and first in the nation in terms of dollars made per tree.

The North Carolina Christmas Tree Association can put you in touch with growers who offer “choose and cut” programs on their farms, as well as retail lots in nearby cities, and growers who offer mail order sales.

Contact the association by e-mail at info@ncchristmastrees.com or on the Web at www.ncchristmastrees.com

You can also reach the association at: North Carolina Christmas Tree Association, P.O. Box 1937, Boone, NC 28607. Phone: (828) 262-5826. Toll-free: (800) 562-8789. Fax: (828) 265-1558.

If you give them advance notice, these members of the N.C. Christmas Tree Association (at right) can send you trees and other evergreen decorations by mail order.
