Warm Bunny
While finishing school in Denver, Colo., in 1981, I was invited to a neighborhood Halloween party being held by three different households on a cul-de-sac. I was busy studying and waited until the last moment to get a costume. The only one left in my size was a giant white Easter bunny outfit, covered with fur and with big pink floppy ears. While Denver could have erratic weather, it had been quite warm so I was very skeptical about getting into this hot, heavy outfit. However on Halloween day, the weather turned freezing cold, and we received about a half foot of snow. As outlandish as I thought I would look, I nonetheless was the warmest and snuggest (and most envied) partygoer stomping through the cold and snow that Halloween.
