Praying for farmers

My mom and dad were farmers. I am 81. I’m so proud I grew up on a farm and worked at farming until I fell and broke my hip April 7, 2004. We eight children were taught at an early age to respect the land. Many don’t today. Our livelihood came from dear Mother Earth. Daddy’s and Mama’s motto: “If we don’t grow it, we don’t eat it.” So true.

It is my prayer to our gracious God that more people would go back to farming, growing their food from this precious God-given land. Now almost everyone goes to supermarkets to buy food. I wish local farmers would begin again and grow more food stuff, as many acres of good land lie fallow.
