Brothers abroad I was talking to my grandpa, Donald Pruett, about the Korean War. He was with a group of men, and one of the guys stepped on a mine. Grandpa’s leg was injured. Two friends made a saddle pack to carry him out. His leg was in too much pain. Another friend who was big and strong carried him like a baby for one mile to get help. He was sent to a hospital. He stayed 30 days. His brother, Harold Pruett, had been in the army. My Uncle Harold and Grandpa had not seen each other in two years.
