The United Way Raffle Every year, the company I work for raises money for the United Way by doing raffles, silent auctions and pledges. On the last day of the raffle for the framed Rex’s Blue Ridge Cabin print, I went on break right before drawing time. This just happened to be a print that my husband really liked, and I had been trying to figure out how to get it for Christmas. Instead of buying a soda that day, I purchased two raffle tickets at $1 each, thinking it’s for a good cause. Needless to say, 15 minutes later when they called my name, I was in shock. Considering we were newlyweds and money was tight, this was a blessing in disguise. To this day, every time I look at this picture hanging in our living room, it is a reminder of how God blesses us daily. Pamela
