Finding Mayberry

As a child, watching “Andy Griffith” reruns was one of my favorite things to do. It continues today to be one of my family’s favorite pasttimes. I feel as if I have most of the episodes memorized.

When I moved to North Carolina four years ago, one of the places that I wanted to visit was the town of Mayberry. This past summer, we took a camping trip to Mt. Airy and fell in love with the charm of “Mayberry.”

Our mind is now full of wonderful memories from this charming town: Floyd’s City Barber Shop, Opies Candy Store, Andy Griffith’s Homeplace, and the Snappy Lunch.
