My Money Pit

The stock market

Approximately 10 years ago, I listened to a financial analyst and placed my investments in the stock market. I will admit for a few years I showed a profitable gain and was pleased with my decision. At that time, the market was somewhat stable.

Then along came the terrorist attacks, world situations, slow economy, loss of jobs, and a general downfall in the economy. Thus, came a continuous loss in the stock market and my investments.

Then you were confronted with the decision of what action to take. Should your balance be withdrawn? Should it be left alone hoping for a recovery? Do you fully trust the brokers and their actions? Should I reinvest in something more stable? Am I capable of suffering a penalty?

I found out in a hurry that the stock market can be a very unreliable investment – your monies can be here today and gone tomorrow.
