Mom was creative When I was born, my mother must have been feeling creative. She took the first three letters of my father's name (Nicholas) and combined it with the last three letters of her name (Helen) and came up with my name Niclen. (Someone once told me that's how horses are named.) It always baffled my teachers as to its pronunciation. Once I became an adult, I told people my name was Nikki, but when I go back to my hometown, everyone still calls me by my given name. Niclen Werts |
