Ladybugs
Every spring we have “The Great Ladybug Release.” I order 900 ladybugs from an organic gardening catalog. They arrive in a cloth bag inside a small box. After spraying the garden and yard with water (the ladybugs are thirsty after the long journey) we sing “The Ladybug Picnic” and open the drawstring bag. The ladybugs fly off to eat aphids and other harmful insects. We see them in the garden all summer, doing their job! Teresa Boykin |
