In the Land of Oz We were totally surprised when our 3-year-old daughter, Abby, loved the movie “The Wizard of Oz.” She would watch it over and over and now recites quotes from the movie. On Oct. 6, 2007, my mother-in-law and father-in-law took my family to Beech Mountain in the North Carolina mountains to visit the “Land of Oz.” We visited Auntie Em, Uncle Henry, Scarecrow, Tin Man, Lion, the famous Wicked Witch, and Dorothy with the Wizard.
