Plants From Another Planet

The potted hydrangea

A few years ago, my husband was sick and a friend brought him a potted plant, a hydrangea. When the flowers faded, I set it outside and it began to grow. I repotted it into a larger pot. Later, it was getting too big for that pot, so I decided to plant it in the yard.
One day I walked around the yard to find the right spot to plant the hydrangea, but couldn’t decide where to plant it. So I set it down right beside a big pine tree and left it there and forgot about it. I never did get around the planting it, and today it is about 5 feet tall and is the most beautiful plant in my yard – still sitting in that flower pot.
