Barbecued Viennas
In 1993 my husband and I got married. I have never enjoyed cooking, but I kept trying new recipes, often creating my own versions. One day I got the bright idea to make barbecue chicken for dinner. As usual, I didn’t have all the ingredients so I improvised. I opened a can of Vienna sausages and baked them smothered in bottled barbecue sauce.
My new husband didn’t say anything, but I could tell from the look on his face that this was not a “do again” recipe. Now, whenever he starts to imply that I should cook more all I have to say is, “Do you want some barbecued Vienna’s?” We eat out a lot now.
