Choosing lodging when you’re traveling or on vacation can get complicated when you have a dog or two in tow. Across North Carolina, there are plenty of hotels, bed-and-breakfasts, cabins and vacation rentals that welcome dogs. And then there are some places that go above and beyond to make man’s best friend feel at home. Here are some that do just that, from the mountains to the coast.

This family-owned property management company offers more than 175 dog-friendly vacation rentals. Guests with one dog pay a $100 nonrefundable fee; for additional dogs, the fee is $50 each.
