Hanging Baskets of Blooming Plants

Hanging baskets of blooming plants add splashes of color to the summer scene—often in unexpected places. Houses with roof overhangs allow outdoor color to flourish with baskets hanging outside of windows. Make certain that winds cannot blow baskets against glass. Decks and patios may also have overhead spots for hanging baskets.

Use tall trees to support baskets of annuals. Almost any
garden flower is appropriate if they do not grow tall. Some examples include: petunias, dwarf marigold, tornia, sweet alyssum, drummond phlox, ageratum, vinca and dwarf mums.
