Flower Gardens for Butterflies
These insects are attracted to the all-time favorite Buddleia flowers. Other butterfly-enticing choices include red, orange, blue and purple flowering plants, like: red salvia (scarlet sage), cardinal flower, lavender phlox, butterfly weed, tithonia, zinnia, marigolds, dahlias and nasturtiums. Verbena, red mignonette, gaillardia, alyssum, and pink or white candytuft make up a few other favorites. Butterflies find honeysuckle and nicotinia attractive as well.
