Beach Gardens

Plant choices are somewhat limited near the ocean. Salt spray and mist are not conducive to the healthy growth of several plants that thrive a few miles inland. These few that tolerate growing oceanside include: beach plum, bush groundsel, cotoneaster, broom, bayberry and lilac, if planted on the backside of buildings.
