Ginkgo Biloba

Sometimes referred to as “Maidenhair Fern Tree” because its leaves look like enlarged maidenhair fern leaves, the Ginkgo is a small-scale deciduous tree. Immune to pollution, it makes a good tree for planting near highways and streets as well as cities and towns. The female bears a very foul- smelling fruit, so plant only males. Brilliant yellow leaves cloak trees in the autumn. In most cases, trees are denuded in 24 to 48 hours, making for easy leaf raking.
