Shirobana Spirea

A selection of Japanese spirea (Spirea japonica) is called Shirobana, sometimes referred to as Shibori. Easily grown, this two-feet to three-feet-tall and two-feet to three-feet wide, compact shrub is practically pest-free. It makes a good edging for borders and is a choice plant to work among annuals and perennials in flower gardens. Its blooms are eye-catching: sometimes white, often red, often pink. All three colors can appear at the same time on the same plant. Shirobana grows best in full sun. Soil should be fertile and well-drained.
