Drying Herbs

Some summer herbs that dry well include sage, thyme, basil, cilantro and oregano. Spread leaves out on a tray and then set them aside for about a week. The herbs should retain their flavors for about six months. After drying, put the herbs in sealed plastic bags and store them away from direct heat.
