Wilmington Star-News has launched a lifestyles magazine called “Wilmington, the magazine for Fine Cape Fear Living.” The premiere summer 2004 issue cover features filmmaker and Cape Fear resident Frank Capra Jr. The cover story, “The Lure of the Coast,” explains why nearly 30 people move to southeastern North Carolina every day. The Cape Fear’s most high-profile residents including Capra, singer Charlie Daniels, UNC-W chancellor Rosemary DePaolo and actor Pat Hingle discuss what they love most about Wilmington. Wilmington magazine will be published seasonally. Each issue of the magazine will showcase the best of the region through various sections including Wine & Dine, Home & Garden, Indulgences, People, On the Water and On the Greens. The magazine sells for $2.95 on select newsstands across southeastern North Carolina.
