This
children’s picture book, designed to teach children the
awareness of emotions, features a little girl who dreams of horseback
riding and of being a cowgirl. She has to learn to deal with her
emotions when she mistakenly believes her family has bought her a
horse. The story, set in Fallston, builds language skills by introducing
equine-related words, and is paired with line drawings. “Sunbeam” is
written by Wanda Wyont of Cherryville and illustrated by artist Suzie
