Mudfish (Sink or Swim) CD

The band “Mudfish” has released their debut CD of old-time traditional music. Some tunes such as “Stay All Night” and “Sail Away Ladies” may be familiar, while others are less well known. With both instrumentals and vocals, the CD’s 13 songs include guitar, banjo, mandolin, and fiddle (with a jaw’s harp and stand- up bass thrown in on a few songs for good measure). The four members of Mudfish live in Manteo, Chapel Hill and Hillsborough. The CD is $10, plus $3 shipping and handling. "Redheaded Stepchild” presents 12 country-style songs written by singer-songwriter Ray Presnell. Presnell, who lives in Mocksville, offers up titles such as “Hug and a Slug,” “Internet Lovin,” “Rage on the Road,” and “Sweepstake Blues.” Presnell’s songs have made the Top 40 Independent Country Songs Charts. Singer, composer and performer Richard Simmons’ “Without You” contains ballads and tunes that celebrate the Lord.
