Ten Songs

“Ten Songs” is Al Simmons’ most recently released CD. This collection of original songs is written by Simmons or co-written with Asheville artist Mike Gaffney, project producer Don Scott Hare and others in the Nashville songwriting community.

The lyric-driven material runs the gamut from ballads such as “Can’t Get There from Here,” and the bottleneck blues of “Boogie Woogie King” to the up-tempo “Used To Be Us.” Simmons’ combination of layered acoustic tracks and vocal harmonies has been described as Dan Fogelburg with a touch of Gordon Lightfoot.

Al Simmons lives in Moore County and performs in local venues. The CD costs $12.99 plus $3 shipping and handling. Order it online at www.streetplacemusic.com. Or contact Write Street Place Music, 203 Street Place Road, Glendon, NC 27325. Phone: (910) 464-5157.
