My Favorite Cole Slaw
Ingredients
- 3 pounds cabbage, chopped
- 2 peppers (one red and one green), chopped
- 2 medium white onions, chopped
- 2 tablespoons salt
- 2 tablespoons mustard seed
- 1 (4-ounce) jar pimento, diced
- 2 cups vinegar (red wine distilled vinegar)
- 2 cups water
- 2 cups sugar
Directions
Mix first six ingredients. Then bring vinegar, water and sugar to a boil, let cool and pour over cabbage mixture. Mix well and put in a jar and keep in refrigerator. Will keep for weeks.
