My 1966 Mustang
At age 22, I got the first new car I ever had. It was a 1966 Mustang. I was working in Cannon Mills in Kannapolis at $1.50 an hour. My Mustang financed was a little over $5,000. I was married in July 1966. My son was born premature three months in August 1967. Our medical bills really added up, so in 1968 when I had my car half paid for, I let a co-worker take over payments. I enjoyed and loved my Mustang and will never forget it.
