It’s what’s underneath
I always thought my favorite vehicle was a 1941 Willys. Then for my birthday I got a 1950 F-1 Ford pickup. It was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen. But every time someone saw it, they would say, “You’ve got your work cut out for you.” I had no idea what they were talking about. All I see is a gorgeous 1950 Ford, even though it needs a new front fender, lower fenders, running boards, and patches over the entire body. It’s what’s underneath all the rust that counts.
I am restoring my truck at Blue Ridge Community College in Hendersonville. Hopefully I will have my own shop one day and will drive my 1950 Ford pickup to work every day.
