Andy Taylor It doesn’t matter what your party is, who doesn’t like the way and peace of Mayberry? The best president would be Andy (Griffith) Taylor. Who doesn’t like Andy? He can get along with everyone: Otis, the Darlings, and even Earnest T. Bass. That shows he can keep peace. And, you’ve got to give the guy credit for patience. Anyone who can put up with Barney has got to have patience for anything. He has a way of settling and solving problems with the least amount of conflict and doesn’t take the credit for it. That’s what we need in a President. I know the world could never be like Mayberry. But how great would it be if it was? The song by Rascal Flatts – “I Miss Mayberry” –could be Andy’s endorsement song. He’s a simple common man, and it’s hard to disagree with what he stands for. Deb Lyall |
