If Students Ran the School

Enforcing the rules

I would enforce the rules: raise hand before speaking, don’t interrupt, be quiet when someone else is talking, be respectful to your teacher and others.

I would have our students form a committee that would help keep our school clean. We would do homework during school time before PE. We would have PE four days a week. We would spend more time on PE than other subjects.

One Friday a month, we would take a field trip so we can visit all of the great places in North Carolina. On the other Fridays we would write, rehearse and perform plays.

Each class would have a representative who would report to the principal and give suggestions. Our school would start in late August and finish in early May.

The subjects we would cover the most would be history, science and grammar.
