Grilled Pimento Cheese Pepperoni Bread

The melted cheeses do make for a mess, but you won't mind once this decadence hits your lips! Serve as an appetizer or a meal. It’s kid-friendly, too.

Ingredients

  • 8 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 carton (12-ounce) pimento cheese
  • 1 package (8-ounce) grated mozzarella
  • 4 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 large loaf Italian bread
  • 1 package (5-ounce) pepperoni minis
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese, divided
  • Pizza sauce

Directions

  1. Preheat grill to high heat.

  2. Melt butter, then stir in garlic powder. Combine cheeses and mayonnaise.

  3. Place bread on top of heavy duty foil that extends a few inches longer than loaf on each end.

  4. Slice loaf down center, end to end, then diagonally, being careful not to cut through the bottom. Drizzle half the butter into cut areas. Stuff cheese mixture between all the sliced areas of bread. Scatter with pepperoni and push into cheese. Drizzle stuffed loaf with remaining butter. Sprinkle loaf with Italian seasoning and half the Parmesan cheese.

  5. Loosely tent the top of the loaf with foil. Grill (covered) over indirect heat for about 15 minutes until toasty and cheese has melted.

  6. Scatter with remaining Parmesan cheese. Serve with pizza sauce for dipping.
