Apple Cheesecake Pie

The cheesecake-like topping on this unusual pie pairs perfectly with a graham cracker crust. A must-try for your fall table.

  • 1 graham cracker crust
  • 5 apples, sliced thin
  • 5 tablespoons butter
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons cinnamon
Cream Cheese Topping:
  • 1 (8 ounce) carton cream cheese
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • ¼ cup sugar

Directions

  1. Preheat over to 350 degrees.

  2. Mix butter, brown sugar, salt and cinnamon in large skillet over medium heat. Add apples and cook until apples are tender. Cool apples, then pour into pie shell.

Topping
  1. Combine cream cheese and sugar for about 1 to 2 minutes with mixer until smooth. Add egg, lemon juice, and vanilla; beat for 1 minute or until blended. Pour mixture over apples. Bake 30 minutes. Let cool and refrigerate for 4 hours.

  • Thanks for correcting ingredients list to include amount of cream cheese - 1 (8 oz.) carton cream cheese. However, it should be "pkg." instead of carton.
