Easy Strawberry Cobbler

Ingredients

  • 1 stick of butter
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 cups strawberries, chopped
  • 1 cup water
  • Cinnamon, to taste

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Melt the butter in a 9-by-13-inch baking dish. Mix the flour, 1 cup sugar, baking powder and salt in a bowl. Stir in the milk gradually. Pour this mixture into the baking dish.

  3. Combine the strawberries, water and remaining sugar. Pour this mixture over the batter and sprinkle with cinnamon.

  4. Bake for 45 minutes, or until golden brown. Cut into squares or spoon into dish and top with whipped cream or ice cream. Enjoy!

    This recipe uses plain flour as it has the baking powder and salt added

  • Love this recipe! I agree on it being too sweet. I cut the sugar down to 1 cup for the entire recipe.
