Green Bean Casserole


  • 3 cans French cut green beans, drained
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 (8 ounce) carton sour cream (can use light)
  • 16 ounces Italian blend shredded cheese
  • 1 large can French fried onions


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Sauté onion in butter with salt and sugar. Add all ingredients except French fried onions and mix well. Bake for 20 minutes. Spread onion rings over top and bake for an additional 3–4 minutes.
