NC’s Wynn Elected to Lead National Board

Curtis Wynn, president and CEO for Roanoke Electric Cooperative in Aulander, was elected president of the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association’s (NRECA) Board of Directors at its annual meeting in March.

During his two-year term, Wynn will represent electric co-ops nationally on behalf of NRECA, the national service organization that represents the nation’s more than 900 not-for-profit, consumer-owned electric cooperatives (see Building a Brighter Energy Future, Together).

Wynn is NRECA’s immediate past vice president and served as secretary-treasurer prior to that. He has led Roanoke Electric since 1997 and has been active on a number of industry and community-related boards, including as past president, vice president and secretary-treasurer for the North Carolina Electric Membership Corporation.

Wynn holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration & Management Information Systems from Troy University in Alabama.
