Co-op Educational Grant Program Breaks Record
2019 Bright Ideas Grants neared $720,000
North Carolina’s electric cooperatives awarded nearly $720,000 in Bright Ideas grants in 2019, funding 660 projects that will benefit 169,303 students across the state. This is the largest amount of Bright Ideas funding awarded in one year by the state’s electric co-ops.
Since the program began in 1994, the Bright Ideas Education Grant program has provided funding to K–12 teachers across North Carolina to fund creative, hands-on classroom projects.
Teachers: Apply for a 2020 Grant!
North Carolina’s electric cooperatives begin accepting applications for 2020 Bright Ideas Education grants in April, with an early bird deadline of August 15.
