Remembering Tommy

Remembering Tommy

In memory of Retired MSG Thomas Wayne Coats, Dec. 8, 1946 – Sept. 22, 2019

Life as we know it can change so fast, unexpectedly, in a flash. Life is a blessing … enjoy every moment.

Always young at heart, my sweet husband, Tommy, lived each day to the fullest, and any day on the water was Tommy’s idea of fun and excitement. The last few hours of Tommy’s life were spent at our nephew Ben’s pond with family and friends enjoying a day of fellowship and water activities.

This beautiful Sunday afternoon in September, Tommy waited anxiously for THE phone call from Ben … the call for us to come on down to “Ben’s Pond.” Tommy was so excited to be putting his jet ski in the water. It was a busy afternoon with skiing, tubing, pontooning, swimming and jet skiing. Some of us were only spectators, but we had so much fun watching the festivities.

I picked this day to capture action photos … and for that, I am thankful. This photograph was taken minutes before Tommy left us to go to his Heavenly Home.

Tommy passed suddenly due to heart failure. His energetic personality and contagious smile will always be with me thanks to many wonderful memories. May that beautiful September day be with me forever.
