‘Uniquely Southern’ Cheerwine Recipes
Cook up some holiday 'cheer' with these new recipes
Cheerwine, the iconic soft drink from Salisbury, is sharing more than a cup of good cheer this holiday season. To give Carolina families fresh inspiration for their holiday meals, Cheerwine has partnered with talented chefs to develop some original Cheerwine recipes. Here are a few of our favorites:
Callie’s Cheerwine Shortcakes
Carrie Morey of Callie’s Hot Little Biscuit combines her handmade shortcake biscuit recipe with Cheerwine, creating a cherry lover’s dessert. Turbinado sugar provides an crunchy top to the shortcake, which is then cascaded in Cheerwine frosting and topped with Cheerwine syrup-soaked maraschino cherries.
Cheerwine Bread Pudding
Here's a Southern take on this classic dessert from Chef Greg Williams at Charlotte’s What the Fries. An easy crowd pleaser for your next holiday party or meal, you may want to halve the recipe for an at-home event.
Cheerwine Cheer Brine
This quirky, simple brine is fit for any large bird that comes your way during the holiday season. Here, Chef Ashleigh Shanti of Benne on Eagle uses a chicken, roasted perfectly, and finished with a healthy slathering of the easiest and tastiest glaze you’ll ever make.
