Ways to Cut Costs and Manage Energy Usage - Carolina Country
February 2023

Pee Dee Electric offers a variety of ways for members to cut costs and manage their energy usage. Some ways we do that are by promoting energy-saving tips on our social media outlets, website, and newsletter. We also offer programs with low-interest loans and rebates to members for energy efficiency purchases.

Energy Saving Tools and Programs

1Online Portal and PeeDeePower Mobile App: a convenient way to manage and monitor your daily energy usage. You can even set up high-usage energy alerts.

2 Energy Efficiency Loan Program: available to qualified members who want to increase the efficiency of their homes but may need more funds upfront to make the upgrades. Loans can be used for qualifying electric heat pumps, duct repair or replacement, insulation, window and door upgrades, electric water heaters, caulking, and weather stripping.

3Rebate Program: members can apply for rebates on the purchases of qualifying water heaters, heat pumps, and electric vehicles

4Home Energy Assessment: includes a complimentary assessment of your home’s energy usage by Pee Dee Electric’s Energy Use Advisor

5Budget Billing: Your total bill amount from the previous year is divided into 12 equal payments. You then pay that set amount each month for 11 months, regardless of what you use. In the 12th month, you’ll settle the difference in what you’ve paid vs. what you owe. If you’ve paid too much, we will reimburse you the difference. If you have paid too little, you must pay the remaining balance.
