If your spring plans include installing a programmable thermostat to increase energy efficiency in your home, look no further than your local co-op.

BEMC offers our members the option to purchase an ecobee4 programmable thermostat at a discounted rate of $50 plus tax (regular retail $249) as part of an ongoing demand control project.

Through this project BEMC will periodically adjust the temperature setting up or down three degrees during monthly control events. Control events last no longer than six hours and are restricted to no more than eight events in one month. Members can opt out of these control events but their energy savings potential will be less.
