Bright Ideas “early bird” teachers can win $100 - Carolina Country

Attention, teachers! Do you have an idea for a creative learning project geared toward giving your students a new way to learn? Apply for a Bright Ideas grant of up to $3,000. Last year Wake Electric awarded $50,000 in Bright Ideas grants to local teachers!

To encourage teachers to apply early, Wake Electric is awarding gift cards in special drawings if they apply early—by Wednesday, August 15. The final deadline to apply is by 5 p.m. on Sept. 12, but educators who submit a grant application by Aug. 15 are entered to win one of five $100 gift cards. Since 1994, Wake Electric has given a total of nearly $900,000 in Bright Ideas grants to public school teachers in Durham, Franklin, Granville, Johnston, Nash, Vance and Wake counties.
