App Connects Visitors with NC Farms

Where do you go to find fresh local produce? The Visit NC Farms phone app, developed by the NC Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, is working to answer that question. Using cell phone technology, residents and visitors to an area can find farms closest to them with products and activities that interest them.

The app can be used to explore farms, farmers markets and local restaurants that are off the beaten path and unique to each community. It’s a growing resource, with just over a dozen counties currently represented.
