Where in Carolina Country is This?

The November “Where Is This” photo by Rutherford EMC member Joan Moore features this whimsical statue of children reading books. “Story Time,” created by Gary Price, is located in front of the Cannon Memorial Library on Union Street in downtown Concord in Cabarrus County. Readers guessed similar style statues from across the state, including Blowing Rock, Pinehurst, Greenville and the campuses of Appalachian State, High Point University, UNC-Chapel Hill and UNC-Wilmington. The winning entry chosen at random from all correct submissions came from Magdalena Jusino of Concord, a Union Power Cooperative member.
