Art Activities
Weaving – Come try your hand at weaving! An ancient and fun way to make cloth or art. Using a simple loom, the frame that holds your material in place, you’ll follow an easy pattern to interlace loose yarn and strips of fabric to build your design. Vertical threads, or warp, are stretched up and down on the loom. You weave in the weft by passing your materials over and under to build the unique patterns. It’s easy to grasp once you get into the rhythm. Simply grab some scraps, pick your favorite colors, and start crossing lines. You might be surprised by the beautiful piece of art you create.

Painting like Monet – Step into the world of Claude Monet and discover the magic of painting like an Impressionist! In his famous Water Lilies paintings, he didn’t focus on sharp details. He instead used quick, layered brushstrokes and soft, blended colors to capture reflections, ripples, and the subtle shapes of floating lilies. Let’s explore Impressionism by creating your own water lily masterpieces. There’s no right or wrong way. Just have fun experimenting and letting your imagination flow like water and bring your own pond to life!
