Step back in time for a hands-on morning of colonial fun! Bring the whole family for a day of music, storytelling, crafts, and games. Children can learn to play the historic “Game of Graces,” dip their own candles, and create traditional cornshuck dolls. Enjoy live storytelling from Joe Lowman, winner of the 2025 Orville Hicks Mountain Talkers Storytelling Contest, and experience a mountain dulcimer “petting zoo” with musician Roseanna Presnell Bridges—granddaughter of legendary dulcimer builder Edd Presnell.
